Gira DCS camera gateway

Integrating analogue cameras into the Gira door communication system.

The Gira DCS-camera gateway integrates an external analogue camera into the Gira door communication system via the 2-wire bus and the video control device. Door stations can thus be equipped with video functionality even at a later date without requiring complex installation. Several DCS-camera gateways can be operated in series or wired in a star configuration.

This enables the user to have several freely selectable areas in view with a single home station, for example the courtyard entrance, back door or the front view of the entrance area. In this way, the Gira DCS-camera gateway makes door communication more convenient while simultaneously increasing security within your home.

Operation

The Gira DCS-camera gateway can be operated with or without an assigned door station. If a door station is assigned to the external camera, the door call automatically activates the camera. For operation without a door station, the camera image can be switched on manually using the home station. An adapter line is included for cameras with BNC connection.

Use of several cameras

In the past, a maximum of three cameras could be connected per door station, however more than three cameras can now be connected to one door station by using several DCS-camera gateways.

Installation

The Gira DCS-camera gateway can be installed surface-mounted, flush-mounted or on a top-hat rail using the provided DRA adapter provided. The connection of camera and gateway is via a BNC plug connection, and communication via FBAS. The door station is assigned simply by pressing a button. The gateway features a micro button and control LED for this purpose.
