Gira E2

Minimalist design, durable materials

The Gira E2 ar­chi­tect design line is de­signed es­pe­cially for high-​end single-​family homes and other mod­ern build­ings. With its min­im­al­ist, time­less look, it fits a wide range of fur­nish­ing styles, past, present, and fu­ture. Avail­able in shatter-​proof, UV-​resistant ther­mo­plastic in pure white matt, pure white glossy, alu­minium, grey matt (a new ad­di­tion), an­thra­cite, on-​trend col­our black matt and high-​quality stain­less steel. Over 300 func­tions from the Gira Sys­tem 55 allow build­ings to be fit­ted in a con­sist­ent design while the col­our ver­sions dis­tin­guish between dif­fer­ent areas.

E2 flat installation

As a fur­ther design op­tion, all ver­sions of the Gira E2 design line can also be in­stalled such that they pro­trude just 3.4 mm from the wall. Suit­able devices and flush-​mounted sock­ets are avail­able as ac­cessor­ies.

E2 normal installation

The ori­ginal. The clean aes­thet­ics, the sim­pli­fied design and the ex­clus­ive col­our scheme of the pop­u­lar Gira E2 design line fits per­fectly into a wide range of fur­nish­ing styles – both private and busi­ness.

E2 surface-mounted version

The surface-​mounted solu­tion in pure white glossy is a new ad­di­tion to the Gira E2 design line. It bridges the gap for ret­ro­fit­ting, so it can be in­stalled any­where where no lines or flush-​mounted boxes have been in­stalled in ad­vance.

E2 water-protected to IP 44

Gira E2 is a design line for flush-​mounted in­stall­a­tion in dry rooms in ac­cord­ance with IP 20. How­ever, switches, but­tons and SCHUKO socket out­lets with hinged cov­ers in­cluded in the range can also be in­stalled in moisture-​prone areas with IP 44 water pro­tec­tion through the use of spe­cial seal sets.

Gira lighting element for surface-mounted housing

The lighting element for the surface-mounted housing from Gira can be used as an orientation light and features a continuously illuminated light element and two LEDs in white. It simply slides into the surface-mounted housing in place of the dummy slider and is available in pure white glossy, cream white glossy, and black matt.

A simple, fast and clean exchange.

In gen­eral, switches and socket out­lets etc. can be ex­changed very eas­ily. If you have already in­stalled frames from a design line be­long­ing to Gira Sys­tem 55, it is es­pe­cially easy – all frames from the Gira Stand­ard 55, E2, E3, Event, Es­prit and Classix ranges are com­pat­ible with one an­other. Simply ex­change the frames – the ex­ist­ing in­serts can con­tinue to be used. This is a simple way to lend the room new ac­cents in terms of col­our and phys­ical ap­pear­ance.

Colour variants

New diversity

The ex­ten­ded range of the Gira E2 design line en­ables build­ings to be fit­ted out in a uni­form design, while at the same time vary­ing col­our choices and qual­ity rat­ings. Stain­less steel with a cool-​silver satin fin­ish is not only highly aes­thetic, but also rust-​free, weather and heat-​resistant. The shatter-​proof, UV-​resistant, easy-​care ther­mo­plastic ver­sions come in col­ours on a neut­ral grey scale ran­ging from pure white matt, pure white glossy, grey matt and alu­minium to an­thra­cite and black matt. They thus blend in with the most var­ied ar­chi­tec­tural styles and can be com­bined per­fectly with the stain­less steel ver­sions of Gira E2.

Gira Sensotec LED

Find­ing your way safely in the dark and switch­ing on the room light if needed with a single con­tact­less mo­tion: the Gira Sensotec LED unites these func­tions in a single device. The Gira Sensotec LED is a con­tact­less switch with in­teg­rated LED ori­ent­a­tion light. When mo­tion is de­tec­ted, it switches on the ori­ent­a­tion light. If more light is needed, the user can switch on the light­ing with a single con­tact­less mo­tion from a dis­tance of 5 cm.

Gira surface-mounted video home station Plus

The front of the surface-​mounted home sta­tion video Plus is ho­mo­gen­eous: the 5.6 cm (2.2") TFT col­our dis­play is flush with the ca­pa­cit­ive sensor but­tons of the con­trol panel. The user simply needs to gently touch the ap­pro­pri­ate sym­bol. In order to en­sure greater op­er­a­tional re­li­ab­il­ity, in­ternal calls and switch­ing ac­tions can be as­signed in­di­vidual names. The speak­erphone func­tion of­fers ex­cel­lent voice qual­ity, even if the speaker is not stand­ing dir­ectly in front of the mi­cro­phone.

Gira touch sensor 3 Plus

The Gira touch sensor 3 Plus guar­an­tees a par­tic­u­larly high level of con­veni­ence when op­er­at­ing nu­mer­ous KNX func­tions. In ad­di­tion to an in­teg­rated tem­per­at­ure sensor to meas­ure the local tem­per­at­ure, it also fea­tures a con­trol­ler for dir­ect room tem­per­at­ure con­trol. An ex­ternal tem­per­at­ure sensor can also be con­nec­ted if de­sired. The graphic dis­play clearly shows tem­per­at­ure val­ues, con­trol­ler status, and mes­sages from the KNX sys­tem.

The Gira SCHUKO socket out­let with LED ori­ent­a­tion light has a re­cessed light strip that pro­jects a light cor­ridor down­wards by means of a white LED. This provides glare-​free, in­dir­ect ori­ent­a­tion light­ing. The Gira socket out­let with LED ori­ent­a­tion light also fea­tures a twi­light sensor that auto­mat­ic­ally turns on the light when dark­ness sets in and switches it off again when there is enough nat­ural light.

Gira RDS flush-mounted radio

The Gira RDS flush-​mounted radio simply sits in the wall – just like your light switches and socket out­lets. This does away with the need for an­noy­ing cables, and work sur­faces and coun­ters can be kept free. The Gira RDS flush-​mounted radio is char­ac­ter­ised by its pure sound and it also sup­ports the pro­cessing of ste­reo sig­nals. When paired with a Gira dock­ing sta­tion (in­stalled sep­ar­ately), ex­ternal music sources can be con­nec­ted to the Gira flush-​mounted RDS radio via Bluetooth.

Gira System 3000 Display blind timer

Touch-​sensitive but­tons and a high-​contrast il­lu­min­ated dis­play make op­er­at­ing the Gira Sys­tem 3000 Dis­play blind timer easier than ever be­fore. In ad­di­tion to manual op­er­a­tion, the cur­rent time can be saved to pro­gramme the move­ment times for all seven days. Al­tern­at­ively, the set­tings can be cus­tom­ised sep­ar­ately for spe­cific days via the menu. The changeover between sum­mer and winter time is car­ried out auto­mat­ic­ally.

The func­tions switch, but­ton, and SCHUKO socket out­lets with hinged cov­ers can also be in­stalled in moisture-​prone areas in ac­cord­ance with the IP44 water pro­tec­tion rat­ing through the use of spe­cial seal sets.

High-quality equipment also suitable for retrofitting: If, for example, no cable or flush-mounted boxes are installed in the wall in the cellar or in industrial lofts, surface-mounted solutions are the ideal choice. The highly simplified design of the Gira E2 surface-mounted
