The Gira Basic Q smoke alarm device can save lives. It automatically detects dangerous accumulations of smoke and sounds the alarm with a loud, pulsing alarm tone (85 dB) and a red LED ring indicator. In doing so, it utilises the photoelectric scattered-light principle: Smoke, which develops during fires, contains fine smoke particles. The density of these smoke particles is measured by the smoke alarm device. A diode in the device continuously emits light signals, and a photo cell analyses the scattered light caused by smoke particles.
An alarm is triggered as soon as the concentration of scattered light exceeds the limit. With its high-quality design, the Gira Basic Q smoke alarm device blends in well with any surroundings. The device has an integrated battery with a service life of at least 10 years. Its cost-effective nature makes it easy to take precautions against damage caused by fire in every room.
