Easy installation via Plug and Play
From wiring to commissioning

Thanks to a newly developed Plug and Play installation concept with standardised system cables, a unique terminal assignment, previously parametrised devices and intuitive software, the Gira nurse call system 834 Plus is extremely easy to install. This saves both time and money, minimises sources of error and makes management of the overall system easier.

Clear terminal concept

The colours of all the terminals are adapted to 8-wire JY(St)Y cables and their shape is uniform. In addition, the terminals include text indicating the corresponding function. This enables the individual components to be wired intuitively without any need for a complicated wiring diagram. The terminals can be easily loosened from the device as a single unit. Wiring can therefore be carried out before painting work is performed. It is then simply a case of plugging the devices in and screwing them in place in the flush-mounted box. The intercom module is connected to the system’s “voice-capable device” via a supplied flat ribbon cable.

Turnkey devices

All the devices have a clear and unique identification number (ID), are parametrised in advance and are therefore ready for immediate use. They are automatically detected by the ward or system central control unit during installation. The only elements that still need to be defined within the system are the plain text names and the assignment of the room devices. As soon as individual devices are replaced, they parametrise themselves based on an automatic plausibility check. All the installer then has to do is confirm the parametrisation. Every device has a removable label with its own ID, which can be stuck to a map of the building following the installation process.

Intuitive software

The browser-based software assistant for the Gira nurse call system 834 Plus enables simple, intuitive management and configuration of the system from any connected computer. This is where organisational units, interconnections and service times can be configured, external systems can be integrated and fault messages or log data can be shown. All the devices are visualised by means of schematic illustrations. The various components can therefore be assigned with ease. Especially practical: comprehensive acceptance documentation can be created as a PDF document with a single click – both for the logical system topology and for the physical one.
