Gira surface-mounted video door station

The hands-free unit is equipped with a voice-operated switch. The microphone is automatically activated where the level is higher. If ambient noise at the front door is particularly high, the person at the home station can activate the microphone with an override function by pressing a button.

The name plates of the call buttons can be easily replaced without having to remove the cover frame. The buttons are evenly backlit in white with maintenance-free, energy-saving LED. If one of the call buttons on the 3-gang version is unused – for example in a two-family house – a cover plate can simply be placed over that call button, or it can take on another function, such as light switching, in combination with a switching actuator.

It sees it all: the Gira colour camera with wide-angle lens. It effectively covers an area of 100°. For alignment, the lens can additionally be swivelled manually by 20° in any direction. Temperature-dependent heating provides protection at sub-zero temperatures. Note: If the colour camera is used, the video control device is required. In the event of damage, the camera dome can be replaced independently of the electronics.

A further feature: day/night switching. If the ambient brightness drops below a value of 1 lux, it automatically switches over from day to night mode. During the day, the colour camera ensures optimal colour rendering by means of automatic backlighting compensation, gain control and white balance. At night, it delivers extremely clear black and white images thanks to its light sensitivity. In order for the CCD sensor to detect all the details in the dark, the colour camera is additionally equipped with LEDs for uniform illumination of the camera's field of view.

The Gira door stations are perfectly equipped for outdoor use. They consist of shatter-proof and scratch-resistant, UV-stable thermoplastic and have IP44 water protection. Fastening the cover frames using Torx screws ensures protection against theft, as once installed, the door stations can only be removed with a special Torx screwdriver. To improve protection against theft, the cover frames can also be fastened with Tri-Wing screws, which are optionally available.

The mounting plate is used to cover installation openings in the wall from a previous door intercom system when the Gira door communication system is retrofitted. It consists of anodised aluminium and has holes for wall mounting and openings for receiving the Gira flush-mounted door station.
