The Gira door communication system
See who is at the door

People are usually happy when friends and family visit, and the postman and party guests are also welcome. For other people, it is better to know exactly who is at the door before access is granted.

The Gira door communication system offers solutions for all indoor and outdoor requirements, and can be used flexibly. Gira door stations are used as voice and operating units for outdoor areas. When the door bell rings, you can see who is at the door and communicate with the visitor.

All options are open when it comes to door communication: traditionally via home stations in various devices, using a PC, television set, or via a landline or mobile telephone. Communication is not only possible from each room in the house, but also while on the move.

Door intercom with video for outdoor areas

Always know who's at the door. The Gira surface-mounted door station video is equipped with a colour camera, door speaker, microphone and call button. The camera has a large range and can be swivelled in any direction. When darkness sets in, the colour camera switches from day to night mode. The visitor's face can be clearly recognised thanks to additional lighting. Excellent voice quality ensures trouble-free communication.

Door intercoms to match the switch design

The Gira surface-mounted home station video is equipped with a high-resolution 5.1 cm [2"] TFT colour display that delivers excellent image quality, even when viewed at an angle. Functions such as switching lights on/off, opening the door, deactivating the ringtone and accepting calls can be controlled easily using buttons which react even to light pressing. The door intercoms are integrated into the Gira design lines. That means unity of design, as well as a large degree of freedom in the selection of colour and frame variants.

Door communication via landline and mobile telephone

The Gira DCS TC gateway integrates the Gira door communication system into the existing telephone system. As a result, landline and mobile telephones can be used to accept calls and open the door no matter where you happen to be at the time, whether at home or away.

See on the TV who is ringing the doorbell outside

The Gira DCS TV gateway makes it possible to watch a thriller on TV without having to get up when somebody rings the doorbell. It converts the signal of the outdoor video camera and forwards it to the TV. In conjunction with the DCS TC gateway, you can communicate with the door station by telephone and open the door.

Door communication on the computer, throughout the entire house

With the Gira DCS IP gateway, the Gira door communication system can be connected to a computer wherever a network connection or WLAN is available. This means, for example, that you can monitor the situation at the front door, use the talk-back function, and conveniently open the door at the click of a mouse – all while sitting at your computer in your home office. Communication is via a headset or an integrated microphone. Voice transmission between the computer and door station is lip-synchronised.
