Gira Project Assistant

Gira Project Assistant (GPA): Many systems. One tool.

Lots of product-specific software tools and an incalculable programming workload for building technology? Not any more. Where configuring the installed products used to require complicated procedures and synchronising all the necessary start-up tools, you can now handle everything with a single start-up tool: the Gira Project Assistant (GPA).

With its uniform tool that links up the individual Gira systems, the GPA is user-friendly across all forms of configuration – keeping you the electrician one step ahead when configuring set-ups.

GPA release 4.5

With the new version 4.5 you can create further logic and visualisation functions for the Gira X1/L1, start up the Gira door communication system, and configure the new Gira Alarm Connect security system. The new software update also allows you to parameterise the Gira G1 in Client mode using the GPA and to make use of attractive additional functions. Standardised programming means that very little training is required for electricians already using the GPA. Once they have “trained” the GPA, they can use the same method to put all the other functions and devices into operation and link up the systems.

New features in Release 4.5

These features require the Gira G1 to be operated in Gira X1 Client mode:

  • Message page overlay with max. 20 messages
  • Floor call/ring tone deactivation
  • LED control
  • Evaluate/control proximity sensor
  • Status line: Indoor temperature and outdoor temperature
  • Function for switching the G1 to inactive in public areas

Features and functions

  • New universal software for fast and simple start-up – free of charge
  • Support in the entire life cycle of the Smart Home (from configuration, through start-up, documentation to maintenance)
  • Integrates logic, visualisation, door communication and security technology/alarm system
  • Standardised usability across a multitude of devices
  • Simple implementation of cross-system functions
  • Automatically create visualisations for mobile end devices and Gira G1 (in conjunction with Gira X1)

  • Significantly faster set-up for efficiency
  • Building set-up and adding devices, components and visualisation features: all easily implemented via drag and drop
  • Automates house technology using logic functions
  • High-performance simulation tool
  • Automatically creates documentation
  • Supports multiple monitors
  • Remote maintenance via the Gira S1
  • Support training available at academy.gira.com

1. Managing projects: The GPA also simultaneously displays several projects clearly. Project progress can be indicated by colours.

2. Parameterising functions: Simple and clear GPA editors help to configure the various building functions in a structured manner.

3. Creating a building: The desired building can be created quickly and easily using drag & drop. Devices and functions can be located in the same way.

4. Designing the interface: In the GPA, intelligent building technology functions can be arranged by drag & drop in the order that they will then appear on mobile devices. Building sections and functions can be individually identified by using over 300 Gira pictograms.

5. Processing logic pages: The GPA features a graphic editor for creating logic pages. A large number of logic pages can be used, switched to active or inactive, and structured and quickly retrieved using tags.

6. Verifying the logic: The simulation function of the GPA makes it possible to simulate and verify created logic functionality in advance, significantly speeding up the start-up.
