KNX power supplies

The KNX power supply 160 mA with integrated choke has a DC 30 V output for supplying additional devices. Rated current can be split up amongst outputs as desired. The power supply is short-circuit-proof, overvoltage-proof and open-circuit proof. It is suitable for operation in systems with emergency power supply.

The power supply 320 mA with integrated choke has one unchoked and one choked output. The unchoked output can be used to supply another line or for function devices (e.g. SmartSensor) that require an auxiliary voltage. Any desired load distribution on the outputs (choked or unchoked) is possible, however the total rated current of 320 mA may not be exceeded. The outputs are equipped with shared overload or short-circuit protection. Connection is made via KNX bus connection or junction terminals. A data rail is not required in this respect.

The same product features apply for the power supply 640 mA with 2 integrated chokes as for the KNX power supply 320 mA with integrated choke. However, in addition to one unchoked output, it also has two choked outputs.

The KNX power supply 1280 mA also has a zero-voltage signal contact for operating and diagnostic messages. Like the 160 mA, 320 mA and 640 mA versions, it can be connected in parallel with KNX power supplies of the same type.

The uninterruptible power supply 640 mA is equipped with an integrated choke to decouple the bus line from the power supply. It also has connections for a rechargeable lead-acid battery to buffer the KNX voltage in case of mains failure. Up to two rechargeable lead-acid batteries can be connected and charged via the uninterruptible power supply. The charging voltage is controlled on the basis of temperatures using a temperature sensor. The uninterruptible power supply has a zero-voltage changeover switch for reporting a fault (e.g. mains failure, battery failure, overload or short circuit). Connection is made via KNX bus connection or junction terminals. A data rail is not required in this respect.

The power supply for the weather station and the built-in heating of the wind sensor 1-10 V can be used as a DRA device for the rain sensor 0/10 V and similar components from the Gira product range.
