In contrast to the adjacent example, in this example there is a spatial separation between toilet and washbasin. For this reason, a pull-cord button is installed in both areas to ensure that one of them can be reached by a person lying on the floor.
The call module provides a visual indication (red light) of calls triggered by the pull-cord button in the corridor, in front of the WC. At the same time, the call is also indicated visually (red LED) and acoustically (buzzer) on the duty room unit at the building’s reception desk.
The call can also be switched to the telephone system via a telephone dialler and forwarded to a third party, e.g. to a nursing service. The switch-off button is installed next to the door in the WC. Staff use this to cancel the call when they enter the room. The power supply unit of the Gira emergency set ensures that the system is supplied with power.
