After the firmware update, the Gira G1 is protected by a device password. The password can be found on a label on the Gira G1. If no password is noted here, the password is "device". Please change the device password during configuration. Please also observe the information on the factory reset of the Gira G1 on the following page.
Devices as of index status I07, which come from the factory with firmware version 2.0 or higher, cannot be downgraded to firmware versions 1.3. If it is essential for a system to use devices with firmware version 1.3 (e.g. to replace defective devices), firmware version 1.4 can be used (functionally equivalent to firmware version 1.3).
Devices with index status I06 or older, which have been updated with firmware version 2.0, cannot be downgraded to firmware versions 1.3. If it is essential for a system to use devices with firmware version 1.3 (e.g. to replace defective devices), firmware version 1.4 can be used (functionally equivalent to firmware version 1.3).
Function
With firmware 200.0.83, the Gira G1 can be used as an operating and display device (client) for the Gira X1. The respective building control functions configured in the Gira X1 are available on the Gira G1.

Besides the building control functions, the following functions are available in the Gira G1 when used as a Gira X1 client:

Gira door communication (from the native KNX room operating device)
Online weather service
General notes
Parallel use as a native KNX room operating device or as a HomeServer client is not possible.
The temperature sensor module for Gira G1 (2091 00) is not supported.
Room temperature and outdoor temperature cannot be displayed in the status bar.
The Gira X1 "Subsystems" tile is not available on the Gira G1 user interface.
Information on configuration
In total, a maximum of 250 building control functions can be used on the G1 as X1 Client. Of these 250 functions, a total of 60 functions (max) may be created with an adjustable round scale (e.g. dimmer, dimmer (RGB/RGBW), dimmer (Tunable White), heating and cooling, air conditioning, sauna temperature).
After start-up, it is recommended to restart the Gira G1.
