A KNX alarm control unit should be activated at the door station via a keypad of the Gira door communication. Successful activation of the system is acknowledged by a long tone via the door station. At the same time, an entry is made in the message archive. If the alarm control unit cannot be activated, the door station outputs three brief tones as a negative acknowledgement.
