Iconic insert

The central inserts and covers from the Gira System 55 fit in the cover frames of the Gira design lines Standard 55, E2, E3, Event, Esprit, ClassiX and Studio, as well as in the Gira Profile 55. The Gira TX_44 design line can also be expanded with functions from System 55 using adapter frames and integrated into the Gira light and energy profiles. This modular system makes for a slim product line that simultaneously offers a broad range and an attractive variety of products. There are more than 300 functions to choose from in System 55.

Seven design lines, many colours

The Gira System 55 makes it possible to combine inserts and frames in different colours, designs and materials. There are more than ten colour versions to choose from in seven different design lines, each with its own material quality and appearance. The resulting variety offers many options for custom furnishing designs – whether simple, classic or elegant.

The compatible design lines include Gira E2, Gira E3, Gira Standard 55, Gira Esprit, Gira Event, Gira Studio and Gira ClassiX , as well as TX_44 for outdoor use.

Functions

A broad range for personalised solutions

Since its launch, Gira’s System 55 has been continuously refined and extended with new functions and systems. More than 300 functions allow for the creation of personalised installation solutions. Alongside the Gira door communication system and the Gira nurse call system, the world’s largest range of data and communication connection technology has also been integrated into the system, thereby ensuring that the System 55 will continue to meet changing market requirements in the future.

Motion detector

The Gira motion detector automatically switches on the light when a person enters the room and switches it off again when the person leaves the room. The devices are quick to install: the Gira motion detector is simply inserted into the flush-mounted device box in place of the previous switch.

Keyless In Keypad

The Gira Keyless In Keypad opens the door when a personal number combination is entered. No pressure is required in order for your touch to be recognised as a keystroke and acknowledged with an acoustic signal. This capacitive technology enables wear-free operation, thereby ensuring greater security. The buttons are protected from wear and there is no visible fading. This makes it impossible to discern certain number combinations that have been entered frequently.

Pushbutton switch

Each time the lighting is switched on or off using the Gira pushbutton switch, the button moves back to its initial position. This helps guarantee a uniform appearance, particularly when multiple combinations are used.

RDS flush-mounted radio

The Gira RDS flush-mounted radio simply sits in the wall – just like the light switches and socket outlets. This does away with the need for annoying cables, and work surfaces and counters can be kept free. The radio speaker has been completely redesigned to provide excellent stereo quality sound when the optional Gira additional speaker is connected. Intuitive operation is particularly convenient, thanks to the capacitive sensor field and high-quality display for showing information and transmitter-specific data.

Home stations

The Gira home station combines a traditional hands-free system with convenient additional benefits: The basic device with speaker, microphone and call buttons can be optionally extended to include a TFT colour display and an additional button for internal calls. The home station with video function can be conveniently operated by lightly touching the four buttons, thanks to its capacitive sensor technology. The speakerphone function is so sensitive that the speaker can be understood, even when they are not standing directly in front of the microphone.

Insert colours

Inserts in ten colours

Ten different designs are available for the Gira System 55. They offer many options for achieving a wide range of interior design concepts. For a more traditional interior style, there are premium looks with a brass or bronze coating, for example. For understated, modern interiors, clear thermoplastic surfaces are available in colours such as pure white or cream white. All materials have easy-to-clean surfaces with high UV resistance.

Integration in installation profiles

Profile 55

The Gira Profile 55 allows an existing electrical installation to be extended with no fuss – and without having to prise open the wall. Should you move house, you can simply remove the extension and take it with you. The profile is available with up to eight empty units and in many different variants. It can be individually equipped with virtually all the functions from the Gira System 55.

TX_44

The Gira TX_44 is a highly robust design line that is perfect for use outdoors, in moisture-prone areas and as part of the interior design. It can be installed with IP 44 splash protection and, thanks to its reinforced frame, robust materials and the option to mount it in a waterproof and theft-proof manner, it is an excellent choice for use in gardens, on balconies or on terraces. The Gira TX_44 can also be installed in the empty units of the Gira energy profile. Thanks to the integration of the Gira System 55 inserts, the Gira TX_44 offers excellent functional depth – including data connection or bus technology.

Energy profile and light profiles

The Gira energy profile and light profiles extend the electrical installation outdoors. They can be positioned precisely where light and connections are required – whether on the terrace or in the middle of the garden. This does away with the need for annoying extension cables and makes it easier to use electric tools and leisure devices outdoors. The Gira energy profile with empty units can also be fitted with the functions from the splash-protected Gira TX_44 design line exactly as required.
